The birth of a passion. In the early 2000s, Nicolas Cage lived his moment of glory, and with such a sum of money in his hands, he decided to invest in the purchase of 15 luxury homes in different parts of the world. The collection included an oceanfront mansion in Newport Beach; a country house on Rhode Island; another mansion in Las Vegas; a 1928 castle in Los Angeles, with walls covered in purple velvet; and the famous LaLaurie mansion in New Orleans, known for being "the most enchanted house in America."
No wonder, since its original owner, Delphine LaLaurie, tortured and murdered countless black slaves between her walls, and so much suffering must have been impregnated in the place.
As if this were not enough, the actor also acquired two European castles, and an island in the Bahamas. We don't even want to imagine what it would cost to furnish so many properties ...

But returning to the issue that concerns us, in 2007, Nicolas bought in San Francisco, one of the most historic houses with the best views of the city. Built in Russian Hill, at a time when the neighborhood was still recovering from the damage caused by the 1906 earthquake, the Tudor architecture house had 585 m2 distributed over four floors, all with spectacular views of the bay.
