Built on an old office building, the newly opened Hotel Lasala Plaza, in San Sebastián, is the first four-star hotel in the city. Although its 1917 facade has been preserved, its new structure has seven floors topped by a prodigious terrace overlooking the bay of La Concha.
From the roof, located on the 7th floor, you can see magnificent views of the bay of La Concha. On the terrace is the pool, with solarium, and all the necessary equipment to relax outdoors while enjoying a 360º panoramic view of the city.
Of its 56 double rooms, 26 have sea views, like the one in the picture. The remaining 30 overlook the old town, an area full of charm. The establishment, located in the Barrio del Puerto, is a tribute to the culture of San Sebastian and its marine spirit. An imposing sculpture with 13 oars in wood and copper, designed by Javier Zubiria and built by the craftsman Aitor Muñoz, receives the guest at the main entrance. A tribute to the trawlers. The curved design of the reception table reminds of a ship, the lecterns to the moorings of the port ... The ground floor houses the lounge, the library and the La Jarana tavern, while on the first floor there is a flexible meeting area. The hotel has 58 rooms, spread over six floors and decorated in a French neoclassical style by interior designer Luisa López Tellería.
At the main entrance is the reception, with places of rest like this. Noble woods, marbles, silver, copper and velvet are the materials that are repeated in all rooms of the hotel. Each of the floors is dedicated to an emblematic museum of Donostia (Romano Oiasso, San Telmo, Naval, Castillo de la Mota, Aquarium and Basque Maritime Factory Albaola) with replicas of works of art. Hence his new concept of art-hotel. Some rooms have sea views such as the Sea view or the Grand Deluxe Sea view and others are oriented to the historic center. This is the case of Basic, Historical, Premium historical and Deluxe historical.
Some rooms, such as Premium historical, have a spacious lounge with a sofa and armchairs. The rounded shapes of the mirror, the low table or the seats stand out in the furniture. 
Next to the window there is a desk with a refined line made of noble wood. Similar to the material of the discreet bar cabinet that houses the mini fridge with soft drinks and a capsule coffee maker, at the service of the guest. 
The white marble bathrooms have anti-fog mirrors and a rain-effect thermostatic shower. Only Grand deluxe rooms, with sea views and located on the top floor, also have a bathtub. 
Each of the six floors is dedicated to a Gipuzkoan museum. The walls of the rooms are decorated with exclusive oils and replicas of photographs, lithographs and engravings of marine themes, in order to publicize the rich and varied Basque culture. 
Side tables and copper mirror frames decorate the bathrooms, equipped with double sinks embedded in the countertop and wall taps, to facilitate the presence of two people without getting in the way. 
The rooms have twin beds of 1 x 2 m or double of 2 x 2 m. As for textiles, materials such as velvet, wool and cotton, in blue and cream tones, predominate both in wall coverings and in the upholstery of furniture or bedding. Two Historical rooms are equipped with home automation systems especially suitable for people with mobility difficulties. In addition to its spectacular views, the hotel has another great plus: the gastronomic one. From the ground floor, and with independent access also, you can access La Jarana Taberna, a place where guests or will not enjoy dishes and pintxos made with native products, such as hake cake, kokotxas batter or zurrukutuna, typical soup of garlic and cod.
On the ground floor, next to the lounge and the library, is La Jarana Taberna. A gastronomic, affable and cozy space, which has two distinct areas: one for pecking to taste its famous “pintxos” and another for tables with a delicious menu in which traditional cuisine predominates with an avant-garde touch, by chef Donostiarra Ander González. 
On the entrance floor, next to the reception, is the cafeteria where you can enjoy a varied buffet breakfast. Designed for international guests, you can find everything: sausage, cheese, eggs, bacon, toast, pastries and a wide selection of freshly squeezed juices, as well as all kinds of coffees and infusions to start the day full of energy. - The great cultural offer and the beautiful landscapes of Donostia are worth a visit.
- If the weather does not allow swimming, a walk along the beaches of La Concha and Ondarreta is more than rewarding. If you like surfing, you can practice it on Zurriola beach.
- It is highly recommended to travel along the paths that lead to Mount Urgull; take the funicular to Mount Igueldo or the boat to visit the island of Santa Clara.
- You'll love the Aquarium, the Kursaal exhibitions, the Naval Museum and the San Telmo Museum.
- Get lost in the old town and try its varied pintxos watered with txakolí.
